If you've booked an appointment or consultation for a cosmetic tattoo with Blink By Biana, it's crucial that you read and understand the information provided below. This will ensure a smooth, safe, and effective procedure. Remember to review this information before future appointments or whenever you need clarity about our cosmetic tattooing process.
COSMETIC TATTOO ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST:
Before your cosmetic tattoo appointment, inform us if any of the following applies to you. Depending on the conditions or severity, you may not be a suitable candidate for cosmetic tattooing. In some cases, written consent from your doctor may be necessary.

Blood-related issues: clotting problems, taking blood thinners, etc.

Heart conditions: palpitations, high/low blood pressure, etc.

Neurological conditions: seizures, epilepsy, fainting spells, etc.

General health: diabetes, stroke, kidney disease, hepatitis, HIV/Aids, etc.

Recent treatments: facial surgeries, Botox, peels, lasers, etc.

Medications: Retin A, Roaccutane, prescription drugs, etc.

Lifestyle: smoking, alcohol consumption, illicit drug use, etc.

Allergies: latex, metals, makeup, anaesthetics, etc.

BOOKING & DEPOSIT DETAILS:

Booking Fee: A $100 deposit is required for your initial tattoo appointment, with other bookings requiring $20 booking fee. These deposits are non-refundable if you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment. Your booking is confirmed only upon deposit payment.

SPECIFIC PRECAUTIONS & GUIDELINES:

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Cosmetic tattooing during pregnancy is discouraged. If breastfeeding, consult with your pharmacist regarding post-procedure precautions.

Drugs & Medications: Disclose any medications you're on. If using Roaccutane or Retin A, halt for at least 6 months before tattooing.

Facials & Treatments: Avoid certain treatments and products at least 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after tattooing. Consult us for more specific guidelines.

Alcohol, Caffeine & Drugs: Limit consumption 24-72 hours before the procedure to ensure optimal results and safety.

Nurofen & Blood Thinners: Discuss with us and your doctor about any blood-thinning medication usage.

Tanning: Avoid facial tanning and ensure your skin isn't sunburnt during the appointment.

Injectables: Botox or fillers should be spaced 4 weeks from the tattoo appointment.

Topical Anaesthetic: Order and use as per instructions. Discuss options and considerations with your pharmacist and doctor.
ANAESTHETIC NUMBING AGENT – IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to recent changes in the law, you now need to procure your own anaesthetic numbing agent. Please call a Compound Pharmacy at least a few days prior to your appointment to order your specific anaesthetic. More information will be supplied when booking is confirmed.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Your skin is a living canvas. As such, cosmetic tattoo pigments are designed to change over time. Set realistic expectations, and understand that achieving desired results might require multiple sessions or touch-ups.
